For the first time ever, I will be running a short course in January called New Year Kickstart.
The idea behind this came from feedback I have got over the years from new clients, and what has stopped them from going to a commercial gym. So many people, both men and women, feel intimidated by a gym environment. Which, I think, is a damn shame! Everyone should feel welcome and confident going to a gym.
A common reason is being unsure of what to do once they are there. Most gyms offer an induction of some kind, but this can sometimes be in a group, which not ideal if you're not confident anyway as you're unlikely to ask questions (if you're even given the opportunity to do so!).
Another reason I've heard a lot is worrying about being judged. Again, this comes down to confidence in 'owning the space'. You're there to train. That's it. Who cares what other people think of you? After all, they should be doing the same thing, right?
Allow me to help you.
The New Year Kickstart is for you if you fall into any of these categories:
• You've made a New Year resolution to get fit/lose weight/eat healthier etc. and don't want to fail again.
• You want to lose weight but are unsure of where to start?
• You want to join a gym or a class, but are worried about not knowing what to do when you're there?
• You've already made good progress, but have plateaued and are unsure of your next step?
Based on your goals, we will come up with a plan to get you going for 2023. It doesn't matter if you're an experienced or never lifted a weight before in your life, this course is designed to make 2023 the year you start as you mean to go on.
Starting the first week of January, the course will last for 4 weeks. It is based on one session per week, but we can discuss doing more if you would like. You can even bring a friend/loved one and do a joint session if you want to train with someone else!
If you're interested, please get in touch and we can arrange a consultation. This is a chat to discuss in more detail what you'd like to achieve, and get you signed up if you decided to go ahead.
